She has also spent time taking continuing education in Sports Performance/Enhancement Related Massage and Bodywork. She continues her passion for the highest levels of training, including time spent at both the San Diego and Colorado Olympic Training Centers.

She has also worked extensively on athlete medical/support teams ranging from working with the Oregon Fencing Alliance, the Fiesta Bowl, the Road to Eugene, Prefontaine Classics, the Dew Tour, the LPGA, Triathlon Olympic Qualifier, USA Track & Field Olympic Trials, USATF Nationals, and also spent time working with PSU’s Athletic Dept.

In 2008 Holley applied to the USOC (United State Olympic Committee), and in the spring of 2009 completed her USOC Rotation at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Since that time Holley has been on the 2009 USACK World Team, the 2009 USATF World Youth Team, the 2010 USATF Continental Cup Team, the 2011 USATF World Championship Team and most recently the 2011 USOC Pan American Games Medical Team. This year, Holley is on the Medical Committee for the Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon, and will be on the United States Olympic Medical Team this summer in London, England.

She has also spent time volunteering with athletes charitable organizations including Ryan and Sara Hall’s Hall Steps Foundation, during both the Boston & New York Marathons. Last year she was also able to help with Brian Grant’s “Shake It Till We Make It” Celebrity Golf Tournament in helping to bring awareness to Parkinson’s. “I believe in using whatever gifts God has given you to honor and bring about goodness in our world! To be able to give back with what I do to help bring awareness for such amazing organizations and athletes is a true blessing for me!”

Massage/Bodywork Treatments

Massage appointments with Oregon Sports Massage are goal oriented sessions, helping clients in reducing chronic and acute pain, muscle hypertonicity, facial adhesion/plane restrictions, muscle imbalances and irregular scar tissue formations. Holley uses different modalities of advanced body work. Her integrative sports massages include techniques ranging from myofascial release, trigger point, orthopedic, neuromuscular release, deep tissue, acupressure and many different stretching techniques ranging from PNF, Pin/Str, AIS, and Active and Passive stretching. These techniques in turn help provide clients with improved circulation, reduced pressure on the local pain proprioceptors and increased Range of Motion in effected joints. “I believe in working with the body’s own healing process, by facilitating the lymphatic system, the nervous system, creating a balance in the musculature and tissue and in essence helping to facilitate the body’s ability to create healing within itself.” – Holley J. DeShaw.

Whether you are training for an event, competing, dealing with a chronic or acute sports injury, striving to up your sports performance potential and decrease your injury potential, if you are coming off of a major training cycle or just wanting to bring your body to the ultimate level of health and wellness, then Oregon Sports Massage just might be the place for you!
